Kariba Safari Lodge

Kariba Safari Lodge is one of Zimbabwe's leading luxury Safari Lodge, situated on a mountainside with sweeping views over the azure blue water and the islands in the eastern basin of  Lake Kariba. Lake Kariba is the biggest man-made lake in the world. Kariba Safari Lodge has a collection of luxury lodges and suites. Lodges and suites are distributed over 33 acres of a forested hillside which slopes down to the lake shore and beach area. 

ROOMS

There are nine open-fronted, en-suite lodges on the property. Each of these lodges on lake Kariba has its own patio. Every lodge has twin beds that can be converted into king-size doubles. Travellers enjoy broad views of the lake directly from the comfort of their beds. There are also has eight suites each with en-suite bathrooms and private patios that offer sweeping views of the lake. Each of these suites can sleep 4 guests in king-size double beds and on two Indian day beds.

GUEST ACCESS 

Lodges are positioned on a hill therefore please advise us in advance of any guests who may struggle with the steep inclines. We will book them into lodges close to the main reception area. 

OTHER INFORMATION

This top safari lodge on Lake Kariba also has a sandy beach and a swimming cage (diameter of 15 metres) that allows you to swim directly in the lake without fear of crocodiles or hippos. Guest can enjoy the other things such as fishing, houseboats, paraglading, quad bikes, town tours, ancient architecture tours, dam wall  visit, scenic views, visiting crocodile farm, visiting Matusadona national park. These come at an extra charge payable directly yto different tour operators in Kariba. The lodge's location is suitable for tranquil nature walks and beach dinners.

RATE

Rate charged is for two adults in a safari lodge or safari suite on a full board basis. Items covered by the rate are shown on the right side of your information screen under 'inclusions in rate'. No activities are included as these are payable onsite from different tour operators.
